Classes are not scheduled on a on-going basis – when enough people are interested in taking a class, I organize one to fit everyone’s schedules. Classes are small for individual attention (maximum 4 people). If you would prefer a one-on-one at my studio, that can also be arranged.

If you are interested in taking a class contact us.

Metal clay classes introduce students to Hadar Jacobson’s clay. Available in copper, bronze, white bronze, rose bronze and steel, this forgiving medium is simple and fun to work with and turns to pure metal after firing.

Wire wrapping classes teach the basics – making loops, hooks, swirls. Everything you need to know to get started!

Introduction to metal clay

This six-hour course, given over two evenings or weekend days, will introduce the student to working with bronze and copper metal clay. The first class will begin with a short explanation of the science behind metal clay, how it works, what tools are needed, etc. Then the fun begins! Students will create pieces using various textures.

Pieces will be fired in my kiln between classes. The second class will cover finishing the fired piece - sanding, polishing and adding colour, if desired.

Clay, texture plates and all tools are provided. Maximum four students. Private classes also available for the same fee.

If you are interested in metal clay, but not ready to invest in a kiln, in addition to classes, I also offer a firing service. Contact us for details.
